Virat Kohli aims for single-century record in Asian Cup clash between India and Pakistan | locust
Having returned to goal scoring in India’s 2022 Asian Cup opener against arch-rivals Pakistan, former skipper Virat Kohli is set to achieve another massive feat when the Asian giants resume. their rivalry on Sunday. Kohli will now aim to join India’s veteran fly-half Rohit in another elite roster in the game against Pakistan. He is only three sixes away from joining Rohit in the list of players with 100 T20I sixes. Kohli will become the second Indian batter to complete a century of six in the game’s shortest format. Joining David Warner, Chris Gayle and Eoin Morgan, Kohli will become the 10th player in the history of the game’s shortest format to smash 100 six.

The former India captain smoked 97 sixes in 101 appearances for India. Rohit, meanwhile, shot 165 sixes in 134 games. Nicknamed the Hitman, Rohit is only behind New Zealander Martin Guptill, who hit 172 sixes in 121 games for the Black Caps.
Kohli heads into the high-tension clash between India and Pakistan after scoring 59 out of 44 against Hong Kong in the Asian Cup. He put up a 98-point stand with Suryakumar Yadav that came in just 42 balls, which ultimately propelled India to a comfortable win over Hong Kong in Dubai. Rohit’s side will meet Babar Azam’s Pakistan on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India had outclassed Pakistan by 5 wickets at the same place earlier in the tournament.
