Sands Shopping Carnival back in September
The three-day Sands Shopping Carnival shopping platform will be held from September 10-12 after being postponed in July due to the city’s latest pandemic outbreak.
The event, held at The Venetian Cotai Expo, aims to boost activity for local SMEs and Sands retailers amid the pandemic, while providing a fun weekend destination for residents and tourists alike. during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Sands China said in a press release, adding that it “supports the Macao SAR government’s economic stimulus policies and electronic consumer voucher program.”
The carnival will feature over 580 booths and will also include children’s games and contests. This is the third edition of the annual event, which started in 2020 and has attracted more than 210,000 people over the past two years, the operator added.
Sands also stressed that he will adopt a number of strict disinfection and safety measures to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Additionally, all exhibitors will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within two weeks prior to the event or submit a negative nucleic acid test result obtained within seven days prior to September 10.
